During his annual state of the university address, Oregon State University President Ed Ray warned the Faculty Senate of the tough decisions awaiting them, as the university cuts corners — and possibly even programs — to operate within its budget, all while providing students with excellent experiences in and out of the classroom.

Survey ranks OSU College of Forestry No. 1
A new survey of 53 university forestry programs in the United States and Canada found that the College of Forestry at Oregon State University ranks No. 1 in the total number of professional publications and No. 1 in the number of citations to those publications.

Of interest to OSU alumni and friends
Arizona tailgater location and format change
The OSUAA tailgater before the Beavers take on Arizona next weekend has a new location and the format will be different than our other tailgaters. The event will now be held on the UA campus mall. For this tailgater only, admission is free for everyone, and soft drinks will be available to purchase on site. For food and other beverages you must purchase a meal package. There will be NO a la carte sales, including alcoholic beverages.

Beaver Ecli
ps is a free service of the OSU Alumni Association. Its main purpose is to provide alumni and friends of OSU with a sense of how Oregon State has been portrayed in the news media over the past week. Items are selected by the staff of the Oregon Stater and by other OSUAA employees. Inclusion of an item in Eclips means only that we think it's interesting and/or important, and does not constitute an endorsement of its point of view or its journalistic accuracy.
