From the sports network: "You've seen them all. And now it's time to decide which one is worthy of being the Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year - and which school will win a $100,000 general scholarship. We'll be eliminating three plays each week, so make sure to vote every week to keep your favorite play alive." Vegetables shield mice from cancer in OSU study Pregnant women may be able to give their offspring a better chance of avoiding cancer by doing what they will later tell their children: Eat your vegetables. In a study using laboratory mice, researchers from the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University have found that a nutrient in certain vegetables cut cancer risk in half among the offspring of mothers given a supplement of the chemical during pregnancy. OSU Career Services hosting Career Makeover: Wardrobe Edition This program allows OSU students to purchase gently used, men's and women's business suits – donated by members of the public and clothing retailers – for $15. Donations are needed through Jan. 31, with the sale taking place Feb. 15 in the MU Ballroom. Donations can be dropped off on campus at Career Services, 8 Kerr Administration Building, or in Portland at the Beaver Fan Shop, 121 SW Morrison, #120. Other professional clothing is welcome; donations are tax deductible. Career Services partners with the OSU Fashion Organization and OSU Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) on the event. How are items chosen for Beaver Eclips? Beaver Eclips is a free service of the OSU Alumni Association. Its main purpose is to provide alumni and friends of OSU with a sense of how Oregon State has been portrayed in the news media over the past week. Items are selected by the staff of the Oregon Stater and by other OSUAA employees.
