Students voice thoughts at OSU Day
There was no shortage of orange at the capitol Tuesday, as OSU students, staff and alumni showed their support during OSU Day. The day-long event sparked discussion about OSU and provided legislators a chance to meet students and hear their concerns. With recent budget cutbacks, it was an opportunity students, faculty and concerned others did not want to waste.

Two OSU students play key role in honorary degree bill
When Andy Kiyuna, an OSU student in ethnic studies, began lobbying for the university to give honorary degrees to Americans of Japanese ancestry who were forced out of college and into internment camps during World War II, he had no idea his efforts would eventually lead to an Oregon House bill that would do just that. |

Former OSU student sentenced in fraternity shooting
In a tense and crowded courtroom, a former Oregon State University student was sentenced Monday for shooting a homeless man outside an Oregon State University fraternity in October. In March, Josh Grimes, 20, of Glide pleaded guilty to unlawful use of a weapon and third-degree assault for shooting Dennis Sanderson. The shooting took place in an alley behind Grimes’ fraternity, Alpha Gamma Rho.
