Return of Mike Riley

On
Feb. 19, Mike Riley was hired for his second go-round
as Oregon State’s head coach.
As Riley speaks on this early summer morning, he
can turn and look through his office window into
Reser Stadium. It’s the same field —
a few generations of turf later — on which
he saw his father coach Oregon State teams as an
assistant for Dee Andros, on which he played for
Corvallis High, and on which he started OSU back
toward football prominence as the Beavers’
head coach in 1997-98.
A few years and some valuable experiences later,
Mike Riley is home.
